Job summary

ABENA seeks a Global Category Manager for Waste Management to lead a strategically important category with global potential. You will own the category, drive sourcing strategies, and coordinate with subsidiaries to improve pricing, assortment, and profitability.

You will lead a young team of five, partnering with sourcing and suppliers to deliver a strong category plan. English and Danish fluency are essential in this global role.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in global category management, sourcing, or procurement in an international setting.
• Strong negotiation track record in commodity-driven categories (plastics or similar).
• Ability to translate market insights into commercial actions and pricing decisions.
• Leadership experience with developing a young team and building structure.

Responsibilities

• Own the global P&L and performance for the Waste Management category.
• Lead the global category strategy and drive sourcing decisions across markets.
• Drive supplier strategies and risk mitigation in commodity markets, especially plastics.
• Monitor raw material markets and translate insights into commercial actions and tenders.
• Support subsidiaries with pricing, assortment decisions, and product positioning.
• Drive a harmonized global assortment aligned with customer needs.
• Develop and mentor a young team to improve maturity and performance.
