Job summary

ABENA, a Denmark-based global health and consumer goods company, is seeking a Global Category Manager for Waste Management. You will own end-to-end category strategy, drive performance, and collaborate with sourcing, subsidiaries, and a 5-person team.

The role requires experience in global category management, strong negotiation in commodity markets (plastics), and the ability to turn market insights into tangible business results while developing people.

• Proven experience in global category management and sourcing.
• Strong negotiation skills within commodity-driven categories.
• Ability to lead and develop a young, growing team.

Responsibilities

• Own the global P&L and performance of Waste Management category.
• Lead the global category strategy and supplier relations.
• Drive sourcing and supplier strategies, especially plastics.
• Monitor raw material market developments and translate insights.
• Support subsidiaries with pricing and product positioning.
• Develop a harmonized, scalable global assortment.
• Lead and develop a young team and build capability.
