Job summary

BWSC, a leading global power plant O&M and engineering service provider, is seeking a Purchaser to support international upgrades and maintenance projects in its Global Supply Chain team. You will obtain supplier quotes, place POs, manage supplier data in ERP, and contribute to category management, negotiations, and supplier agreements.

The role emphasizes structured work habits, clear communication in English, and collaboration across functions.

Qualifications

• Experience within procurement, including purchase order placement and follow-up.
• Completed education as an office assistant and/or relevant higher education qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of practical experience with technical or project procurement.
• Strong written and spoken English skills.
• Good IT skills and experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Ability to work in a structured manner and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Procurement Managers with procurement tasks for upgrading, service, and maintenance projects globally.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and place purchase orders within a defined area of responsibility.
• Participate in category management, supplier relationship development, negotiations, and implementation of supplier agreements.
• Contribute to identifying and evaluating potential suppliers.
• Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders.
• Maintain supplier data in the ERP system.
• Follow up on purchase orders, deliveries and invoice approvals.
• Assist with various development-oriented Global Supply Chain tasks within BWSC, including work instructions and new workflows.
