The role serves as the enterprise authority for how the process should operate across the organization, ensuring alignment, consistency, and scalability across regions, business units, and functions.The GPO has final decision authority for global process design, standards, business rules, controls, and high-level ways of working within the Order to Cash domain. The role owns the global process governance framework, process performance expectations, KPI structure, and continuous improvement roadmap.Working closely with Global Business Owners, Global Process Leads, IT, and business stakeholders, the GPO ensures that ERP capabilities, solution designs, and business requirements remain aligned with approved global standards while balancing justified regulatory, commercial, and local operational requirements. The role is responsible for safeguarding end-to-end process integrity and ensuring sustainable process ownership beyond programme completion. Your impactYou’ll create a globally aligned Order to Cash capability covering:• Sales planning and demand input• Customer order management• Order fulfilment and logistics• 3PL management• Distribution and delivery• Billing and invoicing• Customer service• Commercial handover• Accounts receivable and collectionsYou’ll standardize these processes globally while balancing customer experience, revenue protection, compliance and efficiency. Core Responsibilities• Act as Business Workstream Lead within our transformation• Own the global Order to Cash process vision, scope, standards, governance, roadmap, performance, and continuous-improvement priorities.• Define end-to-end principles covering sales planning, customer and order master data, sales orders, customer service, outbound distribution, invoicing, receivables, collection, dunning, monitoring, and period-end activities.• Drive fit-to-standard design, simplify handoffs, reduce manual work and local variants, and ensure strong integration with Commercial, Requirement to Inventory, Plan to Produce, Quality, Finance, and master data.• Lead cross-functional decisions and trade-offs involving service levels, order fulfilment, distribution, revenue recognition interfaces, credit, cash, compliance, and customer experience.• Mobilize Process Leads, market and functional experts, and Local Responsibles; ensure representative design input, test coverage, readiness, training, and adoption across countries.• Establish process KPIs, controls, data standards, decision rights, and benefit tracking, including order quality, fulfilment, billing accuracy, receivables, cash conversion, and process compliance. Key Deliverables• Mobilize and govern: Approved global Order to Cash architecture, scope, design principles, roles, controls, and decision rights.• Design: Fit-to-standard requirements and design decisions across order management, customer service, distribution, invoicing, receivables, collection, and cross-process interfaces.• Build and test: Validated scenarios, test coverage, data readiness, work instructions, training, cutover, and country deployment readiness.• Deploy and adopt: Post-go-live governance, KPI cadence, stabilization, adoption tracking, continuous-improvement roadmap, and benefit realization. Required Experience & CapabilitiesYou’ll bring experience leading global business transformation in complex international organisations. We understand that skills and experience can be earned in many different ways, and that the best fit for a role isn’t always what’s on paper.You’ll likely have:• 10+ years of experience from industry or consulting, working with supply chain, operations, and business transformation• Experience leading large-scale ERP-enabled transformation programmes or Order to Cash work streams (SAP S/4HANA, Infor, Oracle Cloud or similar)• Deep expertise across the complete Order to Cash value stream• Experience designing global template processes and operating models• Strong understanding of business process governance, Master Data and process harmonisation• Experience working alongside Systems Integrators and technical delivery teams bridging business and IT• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executive leadership• A structured, proactive, and outcome-oriented way of working• Experience operating within highly regulated environments (Medical Devices, Life Sciences or Pharmaceuticals is advantageous)• Willingness to travel regularly as part of a global role, across Ambu’s full footprint (E.g., US, Germany, Malaysia, China, and Mexico)• Comfortable working across time zones, with flexibility to occasionally engage outside standard working hours• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spokenMost importantly, you’ll combine strategic thinking with the ability to deliver transformation at scale.
