Job summary

Hamamatsu is seeking an Export Control Specialist to ensure compliance with export control, customs, and trade regulations across global operations. You will work with R&D, Shipping, Legal, Procurement, and Sales to support compliant processes and continuous improvement.

The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in EU export controls and handling licensing matters is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Export control work experience required.
• Experience managing import/export shipments, including export control, customs procedures, and international trade compliance.
• Professional business English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Review and perform due diligence on import/export documentation.
• Maintain trade compliance records per internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure compliant trade activities.
• Monitor shipments for compliance and investigate issues.
• Stay updated on export control, customs, sanctions and trade regulations.
