Job summary

Alfa Laval is hiring two Global Strategic Purchasers to drive procurement strategies across Product Groups and Business Units, ensuring sustainable supplier performance and cost competitiveness. You will collaborate with R&D and manufacturing to align sourcing with corporate priorities and global markets.

Travel 40–60 days per year is required. Roles can be based in Kolding, Lund, Søborg, Aalborg or Flemingsberg, offering exposure to diverse markets and a chance to shape Alfa Laval’s global

Qualifications

• Several years of work experience with a strong commercial track record in purchasing and/or sales
• Experience in international negotiations and supplier relations (SRM)
• Technical experience in machining and welding processes is a strong merit
• Graduate degree in engineering or related business education
• Proficient in MS Office and fluent written and spoken English

As a Global Strategic Purchaser, Your Job Includes

• Development and implementation of strategies through close corporation with stakeholders
• Managing and driving purchasing projects
• Finding opportunities, negotiating and maintaining commercial agreements
• Corporation with R&D - testing materials & audits.

An important part of the job is to be updated on the international metal market and follow development of e.g. new materials, processes and markets in order to be a professional counterpart to our world wide suppliers.

You report to the Global Purchasing Manager. The position requires 40-60 travel days per year. This position can be based in our Kolding, Lund, Søborg, Aalborg or Flemingsberg locations.

You achieve results through close co-operation with our manufacturing sites, material experts, global purchasing offices, and R&D.

You are an idea generator, who can drive various activities in an efficient and persistent way, yet with an understanding of showing respect and taking into account various internal parameters and cultures.

What You Know

• You have several years of work experience and a good commercial track-record, either from a purchasing and / or sales position.
• We see technical experience of Machining and Welding processes as a strong merit.
• You must have substantial experience in international negotiations and supplier relations (SRM).
• You have a graduate degree in engineering/purchasing, relevant business education or similar.
• You possess good computer skills including MS Office and excellent written and verbal English.
