Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Head of Cargo Event Monitoring to shape the future of cargo visibility within COMET, Maersk’s next-generation platform for container event tracking. You will lead a product management team, turning data into actionable insights and guiding governance across operations, CX, and finance.

You will drive the transformation from legacy systems to modern digital capabilities, aligning with business priorities, and delivering substantial value at global scale.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Experience managing Product Managers, Product Owners, or similarly strategic professionals.
• Proven track record of leading complex transformation, modernization, or change initiatives.
• Strong business acumen and experience operating in large, matrixed, or global organizations.
• The ability to simplify complex challenges and drive measurable business outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience working with senior leaders.
• Experience establishing clear governance, accountability, and ways of working that improve execution and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Cargo Event Monitoring, ensuring alignment with business priorities and customer needs.
• Lead the continued transformation from legacy solutions to modern digital capabilities, driving adoption and long-term value realization.
• Have a sharp focus on removing process waste, harvesting value from the modern container platform by turning data into intelligence for operations, CX and finance, redesign cross functional workflows to be AI-first, lead a strong product team and set the high bar for process and product excellence.
• Improve event visibility, operational workflows, data quality, exception management, and decision-making across the cargo journey.
• Establish governance, prioritization frameworks, and execution disciplines that enable teams to deliver consistently and effectively.
• Partner closely with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Operations, Customer Experience, and Data functions to deliver business outcomes.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Managers, creating an inclusive and high-performing environment where individuals can grow and succeed.
• Build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups and influence decision-making at senior leadership levels.
