Job summary

DTU National Food Institute, DTU Fødevareinstituttet, seeks a Scientific Officer to support the EU Reference Laboratory for Public Health in AMR. The role blends laboratory expertise with coordination, quality assurance, and international collaboration to ensure high‑quality AMR testing and capacity building across Europe.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and quality‑assuring large‑scale proficiency tests (PTs).
• Hands‑on experience with phenotypic AMR methods and WGS.
• Experience working in quality‑assured laboratory environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, execute and assure quality of EU reference laboratory activities.
• Oversee design, management and reporting of PT schemes for 1000+ laboratories.
• Supervise phenotypic susceptibility testing and whole‑genome sequencing analyses.
• Develop and maintain ISO/IEC 17025/17043 compliant procedures and documentation.
