DTU National Food Institute invites applications for a Scientific Officer within the EU Reference Laboratory for Public Health in Antimicrobial Resistance (EURL-PH-AMR). Qualifications

  • Hold a PhD degree in microbiology, molecular biology, or a closely related field.
  • Experience planning, managing, quality-assuring and interpreting large-scale proficiency tests (PTs) under accreditation schemes.
  • Hands-on experience with phenotypic antimicrobial susceptibility testing and with whole-genome sequencing applied to AMR.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, execute and assure quality of EU reference lab activities for EURL-PH-AMR.
  • Coordinate proficiency tests including design, management, material production, result evaluation and reporting for 1000+ labs.
  • Supervise phenotypic AST methods (broth microdilution/ disc diffusion) and interpretation of AMR results.
  • Oversee WGS and bioinformatics analyses and integrate phenotypic and genotypic data.
  • Develop, implement and maintain ISO/IEC 17025/17043 compliant procedures and documentation.
