Job summary

Semicon Service Nordic AB in Sweden is seeking an experienced FPGA/Digital Design Engineer to develop high-performance RTL for multi-clock systems using VHDL/SystemVerilog.

You will work with Xilinx Vivado and Intel Quartus, tackle Clock Domain Crossing across multiple clock domains, and collaborate with the hardware team to deliver robust FPGA solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Hands-on FPGA / Digital Design with RTL development.
• Experience with multi-clock domains and CDC.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust RTL architectures for high-performance and multi-clock digital systems.
• Convert system-level specifications, architectural concepts and functional requirements into efficient RTL designs.
• Design and implement reliable solutions for Clock Domain Crossing (CDC) across multiple asynchronous clock domains.
• Work extensively with VHDL and/or SystemVerilog for digital hardware development.
• Analyse RTL and coding approaches to understand their impact on synthesis, timing, resource utilisation and the final FPGA implementation.
• Perform FPGA development and implementation using industry-standard tools such as Xilinx Vivado and/or Intel Quartus.
• Participate throughout the FPGA development lifecycle, from architecture and RTL design through implementation.
• Troubleshoot complex digital design issues and contribute strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to deliver reliable and scalable FPGA-based solutions.
