Job summary

Dealflow - Invoicing is seeking a senior backend engineer to translate requirements into scalable systems for an invoicing platform used by SMBs. You will design robust data models, implement secure payment and reconciliation flows, and own API design while collaborating across product and security groups.

You should bring 4+ years Python and AWS experience, familiarity with banking and accounting integrations, Stripe, CI/CD, tests, and strong attention to performance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in Python and AWS.
• Experience with banking and accounting integrations is valued.
• Experience with payment gateways like Stripe and backend architectures.

Responsibilities

• Translate technical requirements into detailed backend designs for scalable systems.
• Drive innovation, maintainability, performance, and headless architectures under strict timelines.
• Lead backend engineering and resolve complex problems including schema design, uptime, and security.
• Integrate our technology with external systems (Stripe, Plaid, QuickBooks/Economic).
