Pedestal, a Danish interior brand, is seeking a Financial Controller to strengthen and develop our finance function as we grow. You will work closely with the CEO and leadership team on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and strategic insights.

The role blends hands-on financial controlling with business partnering across the organization, driving smarter processes, improving automation, and providing board-ready analyses to support decision making.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in finance, accounting and business controlling.
• Experience with fashion, design or lifestyle brands is a plus.
• Strong ability to turn numbers into actionable insights.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Pedestal is looking for a Financial Controller to support and further develop our finance function as we continue to grow.

The right candidate combines a hands‑on mindset with strong financial and analytical skills and enjoys being close to the business, working closely with the CEO and the wider leadership team. You will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and ensuring a solid financial foundation for the continued development of the business.

This is a broad and commercially oriented finance role where you will combine solid financial controlling with business insight and an understanding of what drives the business. You will play a key role in strengthening our financial processes, providing relevant insights and supporting both operational and strategic decision‑making across the company.

The position reports directly to the CEO.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and KPI reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and provide relevant financial insights to the business.
• Improve and streamline financial and administrative processes through automation and smarter ways of working.
• Prepare business cases, strategic analyses and Board material.
• Act as a trusted business partner to the owners, leadership team and colleagues across the organization.
• Work closely with the CEO, providing financial insight and sparring on both operational and strategic matters.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• You have solid experience in finance, accounting and business controlling. Experience from a fashion, design or lifestyle brand is a plus, but not required.
• You combine strong financial and analytical skills with a commercial mindset and the ability to turn numbers into clear and actionable insights.
• Experience with e-conomic and Power BI is an advantage.
• You are curious about how AI and new technologies can improve the way we work and ideally have experience using them to optimize processes.
• You have a strong financial foundation supported by a relevant degree within finance, economics, accounting or business administration. Experience from an international accounting firm is a plus.
• You communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.
