Job summary

Nestlé is seeking a Financial Controller to join the Nordic Financial Services team in Copenhagen. You will oversee financial control and reporting for two legal entities in the Nordic region and collaborate with local stakeholders, shared service centers and global finance teams.

In this role you ensure accuracy, compliance and timely reporting to Nestlé Headquarters, support audit activities, and drive finance transformation across the Nordic finance organization.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles and internal controls.
• Experience with IFRS and local statutory reporting is an advantage.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of SAP and FMCG environments are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee reconciliation and accuracy of financial statements for Norway and Finland.
• Act as SPOC for selected accounting processes connecting local business with shared service centers.
• Support daily finance operations including journal entries and payment vouchers.
• Ensure timely and accurate quarterly reporting to Nestlé Headquarters in Switzerland.
• Maintain compliance with local accounting standards, legal requirements and tax regulations.
• Adhere to Nestlé Group accounting policies and internal controls.
• Act as primary contact for external auditors and support audit processes.
• Drive finance transformation and continuous process improvement across Nordic finance.

Nestlé is now looking for a Financial Controller to join the Nordic Financial Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for the financial control and reporting activities for two legal entities in the Nordic while working closely with local stakeholders, shared service centers and global finance teams.

The Nordic Financial Services team consists of four Financial Controllers and one AR/AP Specialist. The position reports to the Nordic Financial Services Manager Aida Kadribegovic, an experienced and modest leader, based at Nestlé's Nordic headquarters in Copenhagen.

About the role

As Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance and quality of financial reporting across your assigned markets.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Primary responsibility for overseeing and ensuring the reconciliation and accuracy of the financial statements for Norway and Finland
• Acting as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for selected accounting processes, connecting the local business with Nestlé’s shared service centers and ensuring efficient communication and high-quality financial processes across the Nordics
• Supporting daily finance and accounting operations, including review and approval of journal entries and payment vouchers
• Ensuring timely and accurate quarterly reporting to Nestlé Headquarters in Switzerland
• Maintaining compliance with local accounting standards, legal requirements, and tax regulations
• Ensuring adherence to Nestlé Group accounting policies, internal controls and financial guidelines
• Acting as the primary contact for external auditors and supporting audit processes
• Driving finance transformation, business excellence and continuous process improvement across the Nordic Finance organization

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

• A university degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience within accounting
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and internal controls
• Experience working with IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements is an advantage
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
• Experience working with SAP and/or within an FMCG environment is considered an advantage
• Fluent English skills, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Danish is considered a plus but is not required
