Job summary

GTT Marine is seeking a Finance Accountant to join our Accounting team in a broad, hands-on role. You will be part of a professional finance organization and work across a wide range of accounting processes supporting daily operations and the development of the finance function.

The role reports to the Director of Global Finance and is a full-time position. Key tasks include daily bookkeeping, balance sheet reconciliations, supporting month-end close, audit preparation, and ongoing process

You will become part of a professional and engaged finance organization and work across a wide range of accounting and finance processes that support both the daily operation and the continued development of the finance function. The role is centered on all‑round accounting responsibilities and close collaboration across the team, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and finance‑related projects as the organization continues to grow and evolve.

The role is a full‑time job, and you will be reporting to the Director of Global Finance.

About the role

As Finance Accountant, you will take on a broad role with responsibility for supporting the day‑to‑day accounting operation while helping maintain structure, quality, and transparency across financial processes. You will work closely with colleagues in Accounting, Controlling, and the wider finance organization, contributing to reliable financial data, strong processes, and an efficient finance function.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Support the daily accounting operations and ongoing bookkeeping activities
• Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items
• Help maintain high data and transaction quality across finance processes
• Support month‑end closing activities and other recurring finance tasks
• Assist with audit preparation, documentation, and the annual audit process
• Contribute to internal controls and the continued strengthening of the control environment
• Participate in process improvements and continuous optimization of finance workflows
• Support finance‑related projects, including ERP and implementation activities where relevant
• Collaborate with colleagues across entities and functions to ensure accurate and efficient execution of accounting processes
• Handle ad hoc finance tasks and provide support where needed in the team

Who are you?

We imagine that you have experience from a similar accounting role and enjoy working in a structured, hands‑on, and quality-focused environment. You are reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking responsibility for your own tasks while also collaborating closely with others.

• You have experience from a role such as Finance Accountant, Accounting Assistant, Bookkeeper, or a similar accounting position
• You work in a structured, thorough, and responsible manner with a strong eye for detail
• You are comfortable with recurring operational tasks and motivated by delivering high quality
• You are proactive and enjoy helping improve processes and ways of working
• You collaborate well across teams and communicate clearly and professionally
• You have an interest in systems, data quality, and efficient finance processes
• Experience with ERP systems is an advantage, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• You are fluent in Danish and English, written and spoken
