Job summary

UNOPS is seeking a Finance Senior Assistant to provide broad financial, accounting and administrative support for accurate processing, recording and reconciliation of payments and receipts in line with UNOPS rules and donor requirements.

The role covers accounting administration, reporting, and ensuring financial data integrity while supporting audits and process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Secondary school (or equivalent) with 5 years of relevant experience OR a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Professional certification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, CA, CIMA) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review and process financial transactions in line with UNOPS rules and donor requirements.
• Prepare financial reports and analyses with verified data and balance updates.
• Support internal and external audits with complete financial documentation.
• Identify gaps and propose improvements for accuracy and internal controls.
