3Shape is seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our Reconstruction Software Area. You will design and implement high-performance C++/C# components for 3D image reconstruction and processing, shaping the architecture and driving quality.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Analytical mindset with attention to performance, scalability and maintainability.
• Experience with distributed systems is a plus.
• Excellent collaboration and communication within a team.

3Shape is looking for an experienced Software Developer to join our Reconstruction Software Area. You will be joining a collaborative and creative team of twenty Computer Vision and Software professionals at the absolute forefront—forming the best 3D and computer vision team in the country. To assure momentum in R&D, it is fundamental to assure structured and maintainable code and the associated automated test and telemetry. Let’s be honest, we have our fair share of tech debt. This is where you come into the picture helping to bring structure to legacy code, and assure we do things right going forward.

What You’ll Do (Architecture + Hands‑on Development)

• Design, develop, and optimize high-performance C++ and/or C# components for 3D image reconstruction and processing—owning both the architecture and the implementation.
• Refactor and modernize code to assure maintainability and performance.
• Define and evolve subsystem architecture together with architects and senior engineers (interfaces, boundaries, dependencies, and long‑term maintainability).
• Raise engineering excellence: code quality, performance, automated tests, telemetry/observability, and clear technical documentation.

What We’re Looking For

• Solid programming skills in C# and/or C++ with a strong grasp of software design principles, maintainability, and code quality. Experience from distributed systems is an additional merit.
• Demonstrated, hands‑on experience owning and evolving software architecture (e.g., defining module boundaries/APIs, refactoring toward clearer designs, and guiding others through review and alignment)
• An analytical mindset with attention to performance, scalability, and maintainability—and the ability to communicate trade‑offs clearly
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Someone that eats large mass of code for breakfast
