Job Overview

The Executive Director will lead and direct the business operations in alignment with the Danish regulations, executing corporate strategy and translating the executive strategy into day-to-day execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day business operations, budgets and operational efficiency, by making sure local market operations run seamlessly.
• Manage and lead the Denmark division, by supervising and supporting department heads.
• Adapt global payment products for the Danish market, ensuring seamless integrations with local infrastructure.
• Bridge local Danish operations with global central teams to resolve operational bottlenecks quickly.
• Oversee relationships with third-party service providers, outsourced compliance auditors, local legal advisers, and payment processors.
• Lead local talent acquisition, employee retention, and performance management, cultivating a high-performance FinTech culture.

Person Specification

• 6+ years of experience in Senior Operations, COO, or General Manager roles within the FinTech/ Payments/ Banking industry.
• Deep operational knowledge of payment processing procedures, card acquiring, merchant onboarding, and cross-border payment flows.
• Proven track record of building and managing high-volume operational workflows.
• Hands-on experience optimizing operational metrics.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Fluent/Native English and Danish language is a must.
