Zusammenfassung

Ascendis Pharma is seeking a Head of Europe financial control and governance to oversee regional accounting, reporting, and controls across Europe. You will partner with Tax, Legal, Compliance and Treasury while supporting cross-functional teams from Denmark to other European entities.

You will drive statutory reporting, external audits, and continual improvement of controls, with a focus on scalable, compliant processes and evolving automation initiatives.

Qualifikationen

• MBA or Bachelor in Management/Economics or equivalent.
• 10+ years in accounting, financial operations, monthly close, audits and controls.
• 5+ years in audit/controllership in an international environment.
• Knowledge of IFRS, internal controls, audit and European regulatory requirements.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, Cand.merc.aud., ACCA or equivalent preferred.
• Experience strengthening controls, redesigning processes and simplifying workflows.
• Experience across O2C, P2P, R2R, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, and Finance Systems.
• Interest in ERP, analytics, automation, AI; MS Dynamics 365 advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Lead regional governance and assurance across Europe, coordinating resolution across teams.
• Oversee financial reporting and statutory audits across European jurisdictions and controls.
• Navigate country-specific requirements including withholding tax and invoicing with Tax, Legal and Compliance.
• Drive launch readiness and changes, aligning processes, data and controls.
• Simplify and strengthen ways of working, reducing custom workarounds.
• Leverage technology, AI and automation with Finance Systems and process owners.
