Job summary

OJ Electronics, a Danish producer of HVAC drives and controllers, seeks an intermediate/senior embedded software engineer in Sønderborg to develop software behind our variable speed drives. You will work across disciplines, from architecture to validation, and contribute to design, testing and customer troubleshooting.

The role requires a degree in embedded software/electronics and 3+ years in embedded development, with strong C/C++ skills, real-time programming, and motor-control experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in embedded software, electronics engineering or similar field.
• At least three years of professional embedded software development experience.
• Strong C/C++ skills for embedded systems and real-time programming.
• Experience with motor control systems and hardware/software debugging tools.
• Ability to read schematics/datasheets and use Git, CI/CD in a team.
• Clear technical English communication and agile collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for power electronics and variable speed drives.
• Participate in cross-functional development projects.
• Contribute in ideation phases and system design.
• Build robust simulation models to validate control concepts early.
• Documentation, testing, and validation duties.
• Support customers with troubleshooting when needed.
