BRIGHT, DTU’s Novo Nordisk Foundation Biotechnology Research Institute for the Green Transition, seeks a Senior Downstream Engineer to lead bioprocess projects from lab to pilot scale. You will develop and scale downstream processes for BRIGHT and partner projects, working with fermentation teams and industrial partners.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in engineering, biotechnology, or related field.
• Solid experience in downstream process development and scale-up.
• Knowledge of downstream unit operations (filtration, chromatography, LLE, crystallization).
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical projects.

Responsabilités

• Lead bioprocess projects through milestones and deliverables.
• Develop and scale up downstream recovery and purification processes.
• Plan and perform hands-on experiments in lab and pilot plant with colleagues.
• Coordinate activities with fermentation colleagues and project partners.
• Interpret, document results and provide recommendations.
