Job summary

Oddin.gg, in partnership with GameScorekeeper, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to take full ownership of our infrastructure and deployment environment. You will collaborate closely with our Aarhus-based development team and the Prague-wide engineering group to ensure scalable, reliable systems built for growth.

The role focuses on reliability improvements, Docker-based CI/CD workflows, MySQL data integrity, and 24/7 availability through on-call rotations, with a hybrid setup requiring 1 day per

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and able to discuss complex infrastructure with stakeholders.
• Experience in a DevOps role or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Docker, AWS, CI/CD tools and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Owns infrastructure and deployment environment end-to-end.
• Collaborates with the Aarhus development team and Prague engineering group.
• Maintains and optimizes Docker-based deployment workflows on GitHub Actions and AWS.
• Manages MySQL databases ensuring data integrity and high availability.
• Participates in on-call rotations to keep 24/7 data feeds running.

Join the Team Behind the World's Largest Esports Database!

GameScorekeeper delivers real-time esports data to industry leaders like DraftKings and PrizePicks. Following our 2025 acquisition by Oddin.gg in Prague, we're entering an exciting growth phase and looking for a DevOps Engineer to join us.

The Challenge

As our DevOps Engineer, you will take full ownership of our infrastructure and deployment environment. You'll collaborate closely with our development team in Aarhus and the wider engineering group in Prague to ensure our systems are scalable, reliable, and built for growth.

Your focus will include

• Systems reliability: Plan and implement reliability improvements to our existing systems.
• CI/CD & Automation: Maintain and optimize our Docker-based deployment workflows on GitHub Actions and AWS.
• Reliability & Monitoring: Manage our SQL databases (mainly MySQL) to ensure data integrity and high availability for our clients.
• Collaboration: Act as the DevOps link between GameScorekeeper's Aarhus-based team and the Oddin.gg infrastructure team.
• On-Call Support: Participate in a rotation to ensure our 24/7 mission-critical data feeds remain operational.

Our Idea of You

• Experience: Professional experience in a DevOps role or equivalent.
• The Core Stack: Proficiency with Docker, AWS, GitHub Actions/Bitbucket Pipeline (or equivalent) SQL, and to some extent Java.
• Automation: Knowledge of deployment tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform
• Communication: Fluent in English; you're comfortable discussing complex infrastructure with both local developers and international stakeholders.
• Proactive Mindset: You are able to identify potential issues and implement solutions to improve system reliability and scalability.
