Job summary

Famly is building software to ease admin for early-years educators, with a proactive assistant platform. We’re seeking a design system builder to own the design system, components, patterns and docs used by product teams and AI agents.

Based in Copenhagen, or anywhere, you’ll lead a small team, craft production-ready React/TypeScript components, design robust APIs, write self-serve documentation, and maintain accessibility and consistency across the product.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend experience in B2B SaaS, including design system work.
• Strong in React, TypeScript, and CSS.
• Taste for craft: spacing, motion, states, and finishing details.
• Think in systems: reusable, documented, maintainable components.
• Able to translate rough ideas into working prototypes quickly.
• Owns work end to end from discovery to shipping.
• Advocate for correct design implementation and clear direction.

Responsibilities

• Build production-quality React and TypeScript components for Famly's design system.
• Design component APIs that are hard to misuse and version for upgrades.
• Write documentation so components are self-serve for engineers or AI agents.
• Keep the system trustworthy with tests, visual regression, and a smooth release process.
• Learn Famly's frontend deeply to map patterns, dependencies, and impact.
• Audit and evolve existing components for consistency, accessibility, and reuse.
• Own the code side of the design standard with a small team.
• Push back when a design won't hold up in code and propose alternatives.
• Collaborate with PMs, designers, and engineers across product teams.
