Job summary

Famly seeks a Design System Builder to own and evolve our frontend system across components, patterns, and documentation. You will work closely with product teams to ensure coherence and high quality, driving consistency from discovery to production.

You’ll bring deep knowledge of design systems and care about how the product feels to the people who use it. The role is based in Copenhagen, with flexibility for remote or other locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years frontend experience in B2B SaaS.
• Strong in React, TypeScript, and CSS.
• Experience owning or contributing to design systems.

Responsibilities

• Build production-quality React and TypeScript components for Famly's design system.
• Design component APIs that are maintainable and upgrade-safe.
• Write self-serve documentation for components for engineers and AI agents.
• Maintain system quality with tests, visual regression, and a clear release process.
• Know where patterns live in Famly and how changes affect stakeholders.
• Audit and evolve components for consistency, accessibility, and reuse.
• Own code-side design standards with a small team.
• Push back when designs won’t translate well to code and suggest alternatives.
• Collaborate with PMs, designers, and engineers across product teams.
