Job summary
Matchtech Group seeks a Design Manager / Lead Structural Engineer to drive the design of offshore wind turbine foundations. You will lead primary and secondary steel teams, oversee concept to detailed design, and interface with clients, fabrication, and certification bodies.
This senior role requires a Civil/Structural/Mechanical degree and 8+ years in offshore wind, with leadership experience. Competitive salary and relocation support may be available.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in structural engineering.
- Strong offshore wind foundation design experience.
- Proven technical leadership and project delivery experience.
- Experience with primary and secondary steel design.
- Experience with monopile, jacket, or offshore structures.
Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design of offshore wind turbine foundations.
- Oversee design and verification of primary and secondary steel structures.
- Manage and mentor a team of structural engineers and designers.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary activities across international projects.
- Review and approve calculations, reports, specifications, and deliverables.
- Interface with clients, fabricators, installation contractors, and certification authorities.
- Support design reviews, risk assessments, and technical decisions.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in foundation design methodologies.
