Job summary

Sahco, part of Kvadrat, invites design students to join the Design team in Copenhagen as a Design Development Intern for Spring 2027. The role offers hands-on experience across curtain and upholstery textile development, from research to collection preparation, with collaboration across departments.

The internship runs for five months (January/February 2027 start) and provides exposure to the full design and development process behind high-end interior textiles, in an international team

Qualifications

• Enrolled in textile or fashion design program.
• Strong interest in woven textiles, colour and materials.
• Proactive, highly organized with strong written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Support development of curtain and upholstery textiles for upcoming collections.
• Assist in development and preparation of artworks for the collection.
• Conduct research into colour, materials, artworks, competitors and seasonal inspiration.
• Assist with colour cards, textile sampling and preparation for testing.
• Cut, prepare and organise textile samples.
• Maintain and update digital collection and development overviews.
• Support presentations, office planning and project coordination.
• Assist with sample shipments, courier services and logistics coordination.
