Job summary

Sahco is inviting design students to join its Design team in Copenhagen for a Design Development Internship in the Spring 2027 semester. The role focuses on textile development for curtain and upholstery collections and involves research, colour work, and artworks preparation.

Begin Jan/Feb 2027 for a minimum of five months with collaboration across departments. You will work closely with the Sahco Design team, gaining hands-on experience from research to collection preparation while using

Qualifications

Currently pursuing an education in textile design, fashion design or a related design field.
Strong interest in woven textiles, colour and materiality.
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop; Excel knowledge.

Responsibilities

Support development of curtain and upholstery textiles for upcoming Sahco collections.
Assist in development and preparation of artworks for the collection.
Conduct research into colour, materials, artworks, competitors and seasonal inspiration.
Assist with colour cards, textile sampling and preparation for testing.
Cut, prepare and organise textile samples.
Maintain and update digital collection and development overviews.
Organise current collection samples and contribute to maintaining the textile archive.
Support presentations, office planning and project coordination.
Assist with sample shipments, courier services and logistics coordination.
Support the Design team with ongoing seasonal tasks and collection development.
