Job summary

Emerson in Aalborg is seeking a Data Solutions Developer to build data models, APIs, and analytical solutions that optimize propulsion systems for large sea-going vessels.

You will contribute to Emerson Smart-Propulsion and Aperio Insight by transforming vessel data into scalable solutions and customer insights, working with a small, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/DS/Engineering or related field.
• At least three years of relevant experience in software development, data engineering, or data science.
• Advanced experience with Python, PostgreSQL, and relational data modelling.
• Experience developing APIs and deploying data visualizations or internal applications.
• Experience with data science tools such as PyTorch, CUDA, or scikit-learn.
• Professional proficiency in English and experience developing in Linux environments.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Develop and maintain PostgreSQL data models supporting marine applications and analytical products.
• Design, build, and maintain APIs for vessel data, models, and related services.
• Create and maintain digital vessel models using onboard and third‑party data.

• Familiarity with maritime systems, vessels, or industrial applications.
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools for coding, testing, and verification.
