Job summary

FREELIO in Aalborg is seeking a Data Solutions Developer to join our SmartPropulsion team. You will develop data models, APIs, and analytics solutions to optimize propulsion systems for large vessels, transforming vessel data into scalable customer insights.

You will build data products, predictive maintenance models, KPIs, and visualizations, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-growing environment. Proficiency in English and Linux is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/Data Science or related field.
• At least 3 years in software development, data engineering, or data science.
• Proficiency in Python and PostgreSQL with relational data modelling.
• Experience developing APIs and deploying data visualizations or internal apps.
• Experience with data science tools such as PyTorch, CUDA, or scikit-learn.
• Professional proficiency in English; Linux experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PostgreSQL data models for marine applications and analytics.
• Design, build, and maintain APIs for vessel data, models and services.
• Create digital vessel models using onboard and third-party data.
• Develop data products including predictive maintenance models, KPIs, and insights.
• Build visualizations and internal tools using Streamlit or similar tech.
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, and dev teams in sprints.
