Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field.
• 8+ years in data science or ML, with 3+ years in people management.
• Proven track record mentoring data scientists and engineers.
• Strong CS/ML fundamentals, training/inference lifecycles, and optimization techniques.
• Experience applying knowledge to real-world problems.
• Able to switch between hands-on work and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Data Scientists and Software Engineers.
• Define the data science roadmap to maximize product value.
• Act as a player-coach for tough technical decisions.
• Drive architecture: model selection, feature engineering, evaluation metrics.
• Translate customer problems into data science workstreams.
• Set and monitor KPIs, production health dashboards.
• Communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor team members with growth plans.
• Ensure zero-disruption deployments and robust experimentation.
