Job summary

DFDS, headquartered in Copenhagen, is seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain data infrastructure powering decision‑making across the company. You will collaborate with data platform team, analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and actionable.

You’ll join our Copenhagen Data Engineering Chapter, working with dbt, Airflow, Snowflake and AWS components to deliver scalable data solutions while growing into more responsibility.

Qualifications

• Experience with data engineering tools such as dbt or Airflow.
• Familiarity with Snowflake and AWS cloud data platforms.
• Strong SQL and data modeling fundamentals.
• Collaborative mindset and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer at DFDS, you’ll be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that builds and maintains the data infrastructure powering decision‑making across the company. You’ll work closely with our data platform team, data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and actionable. You’ll join our Copenhagen Data Engineering Chapter, a growing community of engineers passionate about building scalable data solutions. We work with a modern tech stack including dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, and AWS components like S3, and we’re always exploring new ways to improve our data platform.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines using Airflow and dbt
• Design and optimize data models in Snowflake for analytics and reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across systems
• Contribute to the evolution of our data platform and engineering best practices
