Job summary

Ramboll is seeking an Associate/Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead data centre mechanical design and drive delivery with a strong client-facing focus. You will guide a team, coordinate across disciplines, and contribute to the production of robust, sustainable cooling, ventilation, and control solutions.

The role offers flexible location across the Nordics, UK, and Germany, with an emphasis on technical delivery, client care, and growth within Ramboll’s Buildings department.

Qualifications

• Qualified Engineer with proven track record in mechanical design
• Experience with mission-critical systems in data centres or similar
• CIBSE/IET/IMechE accredited honours degree or HNC
• IEng or CEng status targeted
• Excellent communicator with ability to simplify complex ideas
• Interest in digital and parametric design tools

Responsibilities

• Lead Ramboll on data centre projects and manage engineers of allied disciplines
• Drive project delivery with initiative and minimal supervision
• Use CAD/Bluebeam and perform calculations, coordinate with BIM technicians
• Complete detailed designs and supervise others in this function
• Inspire client confidence and strengthen client relationships
• Coordinate tasks to meet deadlines and allocate resources
