Job summary

Google's Hardware Operations team manages the state-of-the-art data center infrastructure powering its search and cloud services. As a Hardware Operations Manager, you will lead a team of Data Center Technicians, ensuring quality installation of server hardware and components, and guiding complex installations and troubleshooting.

You will oversee hardware and server software configuration, including networks and routing components, and may lead small projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least five years in computing infrastructure, networking, OS, or hardware.
• Experience in people management or team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management of data center operations teams.
• Coordinate priorities and hand-offs across shift leads.
• Collaborate to resolve issues in global computing and network architecture.
• Hire, coach and develop a team to meet business goals.
• Drive safety culture at the site while maintaining collaboration.
