Job summary

LEGO Brand Retail is seeking a strategic Data & AI leader to shape the data and AI agenda for finance and people functions in Denmark. The role offers hybrid work options and the chance to build foundational capabilities, not to inherit an existing team.

You will partner with senior leaders, translate business problems into data-driven roadmaps, and drive pilots that prove value while ensuring governance and privacy compliance across sensitive data.

Qualifications

• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate ambiguity.
• Experience turning business problems into data/AI roadmaps with business cases.
• Technical depth to assess feasibility with data science and engineering teams.
• Experience handling sensitive HR/finance data with governance and controls.
• Experience in consumer products, retail, or large multinational organizations.
• Experience delivering use cases like forecasting, workforce analytics, attrition prediction.
• Experience establishing a data/analytics function from the ground up.
• Familiarity with lakehouse and cloud-native architectures.
• Navigating HR systems and ERP with data privacy requirements.
• Consulting or transformation background with influence without authority.

Responsibilities

• Define a data and AI vision for finance and people functions.
• Turn opportunities into prioritised roadmaps and business cases guiding investment.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver pilots that demonstrate practical value.
• Assess data availability, quality and trust, and identify improvements needed.
• Represent business needs to the enterprise data platform team.
• Define the skills, roles and ways of working for a future embedded data/AI team.
• Help leaders understand what data and AI can do and identify ambitious opportunities.
