Job summary

Lunar is recruiting a Credit Operations Junior Specialist in Copenhagen to help prevent overdrafts, support customers through pre-collection, and build Lunar's Nordic lending operations. You will work with the credit team, tech, and external partners to ensure smooth handovers and compliant processes.

You will be the credit expert, driving improvements, flagging anomalies in automated systems, and supporting loan applications as new lending products roll out in 2026.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and act on potential overdrafts before they escalate.
• Handle manual pre-collection tasks and communications with customers.
• Coordinate handovers with our external collection partner accurately and on time.
• Serve as credit expert and connect Lunar with the collection partner during recovery.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders daily to improve processes and systems.
• Monitor automated credit systems and flag anomalies for product/engineering teams.
• Review and process loan applications as new lending products roll out in 2026.

As our new Credit Operations Junior Specialist, you'll join the Credit Operations team based in Copenhagen, working to proactively prevent overdrafts, support customers through the full pre-collection journey, and help build out Lunar's new lending operations across the Nordics.

The Credit Operations team sits at the heart of Lunar's financial operations and is based in Copenhagen. We work across all three Nordic markets to proactively prevent overdrafts, support customers through the full pre-collection journey, and ensure seamless handovers to our collection partner when needed. In 2026, we're expanding our scope to include loan applications - processing and assessing requests for Lunar's new lending products.

We are a team that takes ownership. We run smooth daily operations, continuously improve our processes in close collaboration with our tech teams, and hold ourselves to a high standard of quality in every customer interaction.

What will you do?

• Proactively identify and act on potential overdrafts before they escal
• Handle all manual pre-collection tasks and communication with customers
• Manage and monitor handovers of cases to our external collection partner accurately, on time, and in compliance
• Serve as the connecting link between Lunar and our collection partner throughout the recovery process
• Work closely with different internal stakeholders on a daily basis - you're the credit expert in the room, and people will come to you
• Monitor our automated credit systems and flag anomalies or optimisation opportunities to our product and engineering teams
• Collect feedback and contribute to the continuous improvement and automation of our credit processes
• Review and process loan applications as Lunar rolls out its new lending products across the Nordics in 2026
