Job summary

Banking Circle, a licensed, technology-enabled bank processing over €1,5 trillion in payments annually, is hiring a Development Engineer for the Core Payments Team in Copenhagen. You will join a small, dedicated team building a cloud-native payment engine focused on quality, performance and reliability to enable 24/7 processing.

This role emphasizes .NET backend development with Azure services and a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Experience with .NET backend and high-throughput data processing.
• Skilled in performance-sensitive apps and caching strategies.
• Azure cloud services experience is a plus, not a requirement.
• Ability to design clean, maintainable solutions and be proactive.
• Strong analytical skills and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop back-end solutions in C# on Microsoft Azure (Azure SQL, Service Bus, Storage, KeyVault, Kubernetes).
• Apply engineering practices with focus on performance and reliability.
• Take technical ownership of complex feature implementations.
• Critically assess ways of working and contribute to improvements.
• Suggest ideas to scale and enhance the platform.
• Support and mature our ways of working through collaboration.
