Job description

You will join a team working closely with Product Management, Sales, and Project teams to ensure that control concepts are consistent, traceable, and aligned with both product architecture and project requirements.

Your role

The role focuses on developing and documenting control concepts for renewable energy power plant projects. You will take technical ownership of grid code evaluation and ensure that regulatory requirements are accurately interpreted and translated into precise and implementable control solutions.

You will work across both project delivery and pre‑sales activities, contributing to pre‑studies, supporting tender processes, and ensuring that technical input is structured, consistent, and aligned with both regulatory expectations and product capabilities.

The role requires a systematic approach to complex technical material, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain clarity and traceability across documentation and decisions.

Main responsibilities

In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that control solutions are compliant, well‑documented, and technically robust. This includes:

  • Analyzing country‑specific grid codes and regulatory requirements and evaluating compliance against Opoura’s control solutions
  • Translating regulatory and technical documentation into precise, traceable, and implementable control concepts
  • Developing structured documentation that ensures consistency, clarity, and traceability between requirements and control logic
  • Identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and risks in regulatory material and clearly communicating their technical implications
  • Contributing to pre‑studies by validating requirements and supporting accurate and well‑founded technical input to pricing and project planning
  • Supporting tender processes by ensuring technical feasibility, regulatory alignment, and consistency in technical documentation
To be successful in this role

Success in this role comes from a structured and methodical approach to engineering work, combined with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and technical quality.

  • Work systematically with complex technical and regulatory material while maintaining precision and consistency
  • Ensure that your documentation is clear, structured, and traceable across requirements and solutions
  • Identify risks, ambiguities, and inconsistencies early and address them in a structured manner
  • Translate detailed requirements into well‑defined and implementable control concepts
  • Communicate technical constraints and implications clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Contribute to a stable and collaborative working environment with a focus on quality and reliability
Your background

You bring experience from control engineering or power systems engineering and are motivated by working with detailed technical and regulatory material. You take ownership of your work and have a strong focus on delivering accurate, structured, and well‑documented solutions.

  • Have at least 3 years of experience within control engineering, power systems engineering, or similar
  • Have experience working with grid codes, regulatory requirements, or technical compliance documentation
  • Have experience developing or documenting control concepts or technical system designs
  • Have exposure to renewable energy projects or power plant control systems
  • Are able to translate complex technical and regulatory material into structured and precise documentation
  • Hold a degree in Control Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field

Experience with pre‑studies, feasibility assessments, or participation in tender processes is an advantage. Experience working with cross‑functional teams or external stakeholders is also considered relevant.

The position is based in Silkeborg, Denmark, with limited travel required. English is required for the role.
