Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Manufacturing/Production Engineering, Mechatronics or Structural Engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience in large-scale industrial manufacturing.
• Substantial depth in one specialist area (Electrical, Mechanical or Production Engineering).
• Experience translating designs into safe, scalable manufacturing solutions.

Are you an experienced engineering specialist who wants to shape how complex products are transformed from design into high-quality manufacturing?

In Vestas Technology & Operations, Nacelles Manufacturing, we are developing our Centers of Competence within Production Engineering. We are looking for three Senior Specialists who will bring deep technical knowledge and industry best practice into our global manufacturing organization.

Center of Competence within Production Engineering Assembly provides Expert enablement of E2E engineers, defining workmanship guidelines and implementation of consistent BOM/ECM master data updates to the factories.

Our Production Engineering organization operates at the intersection between R&D and manufacturing, translating product designs into robust, safe and scalable production solutions across our factories. These positions will give you the opportunity to improve how we manufacture some of the world's largest renewable energy products and help expand our technical abilities across the organization.

The opportunities are centered around three specialist areas:

• Electrical Assembly & Connections
• Mechanical Joints & Assembly
• Production Engineering & Industrialization

You do not need experience across all three areas. We are looking for specialists with advanced experience within one of these disciplines and the ability to apply that knowledge in a complex, large-scale industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive manufacturing standards, methodologies and best practices within electrical assembly, mechanical joints or production engineering/industrialization
• Translate engineering and product design requirements into robust, safe and scalable manufacturing solutions
• Provide technical leadership and technical guidance to production engineering teams and manufacturing sites across our global organization
• Develop, implement and continuously improve manufacturing specifications, work instructions and quality standards
• Manage technical problem solving, risk assessment and root-cause activities, including areas such as FMEA and manufacturing quality issues
• Collaborate across R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Service and suppliers to ensure solutions consider the full product and manufacturing lifecycle
• Bring external best practices and new perspectives into Vestas, helping us benchmark and develop our production capabilities toward high standards

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing/Production Engineering, Mechatronics, Structural Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline. A Master's degree or PhD is advantageous, but substantial relevant industry experience is equally important
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience, with demonstrated technical knowledge within your specialist field
• Significant experience from large-scale industrial manufacturing or engineering environments, preferably organizations operating across multiple manufacturing sites
• For the Electrical profile, extensive knowledge of topics such as electrical connections, cable terminations, busbars, bolted electrical joints, contact resistance, torque requirements, relevant standards, and failure mechanisms
• For the Mechanical profile, solid experience with mechanical joints, bolted connections, torque and tension, tooling/equipment, structural behaviour, quality assurance and associated manufacturing processes
• For the Production Engineering/Industrialization profile, substantial experience industrializing complex products and translating engineering designs into scalable production processes, including manufacturing systems and digital engineering flows
• Experience with technical standards, risk assessment, root-cause analysis, FMEA, quality processes and continuous improvement within a safety- and quality-critical environment

• Combine solid theoretical knowledge with the ability to turn engineering principles into practical manufacturing solutions
• Understand the demands of complex, large-scale, safety- and quality-critical manufacturing environments
• Are skilled at analysing technical problems, identifying failure modes and translating findings into sustainable improvements
• Can influence stakeholders and establish technical direction across functions, factories and geographical locations without necessarily having formal leadership responsibility
• Communicate complex technical subjects clearly and collaborate effectively with colleagues across R&D, Operations, Quality, Service and suppliers
• Bring curiosity and an outside-in mindset, seeking out and introducing relevant best practices from other advanced industries
