Job summary

Google LLC in Denmark seeks a Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion, coordinating requirements, schedules, risks and communications with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will span offices, time zones and hemispheres.

The Data Center team designs and operates advanced electrical and HVAC systems; you will engage with communities and local stakeholders while developing strategies to scale regional partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• MBA or Master's degree preferred.
• 5 years of program or project management experience.
• Ability to travel up to 25% as required.

Responsibilities

• Engage with key opinion formers, community groups such as municipal leaders and nonprofits to align initiatives with community needs.
• Collaborate with leaders to scale regional community affairs coverage using place-based partnerships and research-driven plans.
• Develop tools to educate local communities about data centers and create locally focused investment plans.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple Google teams and data center groups.

Job description

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program or project management.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time as required.

Preferred qualifications:

• MBA or Master’s degree in Education, Public Relations/Policy, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience using analytics to make decisions.
• Experience in one or more of the following: data centers, utilities, government, advanced manufacturing.
• Experience developing and launching local, state, national or global public-private partnerships.
• Ability to grow in a fluid multinational environment working across multiple lines of business.
• Ability to communicate in Danish fluently in order to interact with local stakeholders.

• Engage with key opinion formers, community groups such as municipal leaders, industry partners, economic development organizations, schools, education institutions, and non-profits to ensure initiatives are centered around community needs and accelerating business objectives.
• Collaborate with team leaders and peers to develop strategies to scale sub regional community affairs coverage in emerging markets, focusing on place-based frameworks and partnerships to produce location-specific development plans based on research data turned into actionable insights to prioritize community needs.
• Develop communication tools and processes to educate local communities about the role and impact of our data centers, and create locally focused investment plans that are self-sustaining.
• Build and maintain key internal relationships with a broad set of internal stakeholders, including Acquisition and Development, Energy, GAPP, Cloud Supply Chain and Operations, Marketing, Google.org, and local Google data center teams.
