Job summary

Maersk in Copenhagen is seeking a Product Controller to own daily P&L, valuations and exposure reporting across physical and derivative fuels.

You will partner with trading desks and risk teams, gaining exposure to a broad energy trading landscape and cross-functional processes.

The role welcomes candidates from energy markets or other commodities willing to deepen expertise, with strong technical fundamentals and curiosity.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in Product Control or similar role within commodity or financial trading.
• Understanding of commodity trading economics and hedging concepts.
• Experience with P&L, mark-to-market valuation, exposure management.
• Advanced Excel; experience with Power BI/SQL/Python would be advantageous.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Engineering or related field is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Daily P&L and exposure control across physical and derivative positions.
• Perform P&L attribution and explain drivers and market movements.
• Prepare daily position and exposure reports aligned with trading activity.
• Support mark-to-market valuation and IPV; assist month-end close.
• Partner with Front Office, Risk and Finance to drive improvements and analytics.
