DeepTech Alliance seeks a dynamic CEO to transform a high-potential network into a focused, sustainable European platform. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, engaging senior European stakeholders and building necessary operating capacity.
The ideal candidate will have credibility across the European deeptech ecosystem, a deep network, and the ability to translate ambition into measurable initiatives, partnerships and revenue streams. Fluency in English is essential.
DeepTech Alliance (DTA) is a pan-European alliance of leading deeptech innovation hubs, science parks, incubators, venture builders and ecosystem organisations. Together, its members support the creation, commercialisation and scaling of Europe’s most promising science- and technology-based ventures.
Through cross-border collaboration, joint initiatives, strategic partnerships and policy engagement, DTA works to strengthen Europe’s deeptech ecosystem and create tangible value for its members and the ventures they support.
DTA is now seeking an ambitious and influential CEO to transform a high-potential network into a focused, sustainable and recognised European platform.
The CEO will lead the next stage of DTA’s development and position the Alliance as a leading platform and voice for European deeptech.
Working with the Board, members and strategic partners, the CEO will define a clear strategic direction, sharpen the Alliance’s value proposition and translate ambition into visible initiatives and measurable outcomes.
The ideal candidate will bring immediate influence, credibility and clarity of purpose to the Alliance—and have the profile and network to amplify the DTA brand from day one.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role. The CEO must be able to engage senior European stakeholders while also building the operating model, partnerships and execution capacity required for a sustainable organization.
Strategy and positioning
Define and execute the Alliance’s strategy, ensuring a clear role in the European deeptech landscape. Position DTA as a credible platform for venture builders, accelerators, universities, research organisations, investors, corporates and policymakers.

Programmes and delivery
Develop and oversee high-quality Alliance activities, including founder support, market access, investor connectivity, thematic programmes, policy engagement and shared learning between members.
Commercial sustainability
Build a sustainable operating model through membership income, programme revenue, sponsorship, public funding, corporate partnerships and other aligned sources of support.
Partnerships and external relations
Represent the Alliance externally with investors, corporates, EU institutions, national agencies, universities and deeptech ecosystem leaders. Build partnerships that increase DTA’s reach, credibility and practical impact.
Governance and operations
Work closely with the Board to ensure strong governance, transparency, reporting and prioritisation. Establish the operating rhythms, team structure, budget discipline and performance metrics required for a professional, scalable organization.
Thought leadership and policy influence
Help shape the European conversation on deeptech venture creation, commercialisation and scale-up. Translate member experience into practical insight for policy, funding and ecosystem design.
The successful candidate will be a highly credible and internationally recognised ecosystem leader with the standing, network and communication skills to elevate DTA’s position from day one.
