Job summary

IMC is building a new Energy Trading business in Aarhus, Denmark, inviting software engineers to join a fast-paced startup-like environment backed by a global trading firm.

As a back-end focused engineer you will develop a full technology stack for power and gas trading, collaborate with traders and quants, and own greenfield projects that go into production quickly. English fluency is required, and experience in energy trading is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background in computer science or a quantitative field.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C++ or Rust; Python/Java a plus.
• Experience in European energy trading is a plus.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a full tech stack for power and gas trading.
• Collaborate with traders and quants to develop trading strategies.
• Mentor new joiners and train the team.
