Job summary

Drees & Sommer Nordic in Copenhagen is seeking a Project Manager to take full ownership of projects, guiding clients from early strategy through delivery and ensuring objectives for time, cost, quality and risk are met.

Join our Copenhagen-based team to lead client advisory, coordinate design and delivery with interdisciplinary colleagues, and ensure compliance with ABR18 and Danish regulations while maintaining a collaborative, results-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or similar.
• Experience in client advisory (bygherrerådgivning) or project management in construction/real estate.
• Strong technical understanding and ability to challenge solutions.
• ABR18 knowledge; YBL is an advantage.
• Proven stakeholder, financial control, risk management, and quality assurance.
• Excellent Danish and English communication.
• Collaborative, structured, reliable advisor with high professional integrity.

Responsibilities

• Client advisory and project execution with interdisciplinary teams to meet time, cost, quality, and risk.
• Procurement and contracting strategies; support tendering and contract awards per Danish regulations.
• Design and delivery management; coordinate consultants and contractors while monitoring H&S and quality.
• Commercial and risk management; control finances, risks, changes; provide reporting and decisions.
• Stakeholder management and alignment across project stakeholders.

• Client Advisory & Project Execution: Advise clients from early strategy through delivery and lead project execution in close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring objectives for time, cost, quality, and risk are met
• Procurement & Contracting: Advise on procurement and contract strategies and support tendering, evaluation, negotiations, and contract award in compliance with Danish regulations
• Design & Delivery Management: Represent the client during design and execution, coordinating consultants and contractors while monitoring quality, progress, H&S, and compliance
• Commercial & Risk Management: Control project finances, manage risks and changes, and provide structured reporting, recommendations, and decision support to the client
• Stakeholder Management: Lead the communication and ensure alignment across all project stakeholders

Qualifications

• Completed degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or in a similar technical and built environment discipline
• Sound professional experience in a client advisory (bygherrerådgivning) or project management role within construction or real estate
• Strong technical understanding, enabling you to challenge solutions and advise clients throughout all project phases
• Solid knowledge of ABR18, YBL is an advantage
• Proven ability in stakeholder management, financial control, risk management, and quality assurance
• Excellent communication both in Danish and English
• Collaborative mindset, structured and reliable advisor with high professional integrity
