KOSMOS is seeking a hands-on Finance & Career Bookkeeping Manager for maternity cover across Denmark and Ireland. The role centers on day-to-day bookkeeping, VAT, monthly and quarterly reporting, and year-end support in a growing international SME.
You will own e-conomic bookkeeping, perform reconciliations, chase overdue invoices, and provide management reporting, with a 2–3 day week and potential part-time or interim engagement.
KOSMOS is a growing international cost and commercial consultancy operating across Denmark and Ireland, providing specialist commercial and project advisory services to the construction and infrastructure sectors.
As the business continues to grow, KOSMOS is looking to appoint a reliable and hands-on Finance & Bookkeeping Manager to provide maternity cover from approximately mid-to-late September 2026 until August 2027.
This is a practical, delivery-focused finance position rather than a strategic or corporate finance role. The successful individual will take responsibility for the day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration of the Danish and Irish businesses, alongside monthly and quarterly reporting, VAT preparation, debtor follow-up and year-end support.
The position is expected to require approximately 2–3 days per week, with some flexibility around the final working pattern. KOSMOS is open to either employing the successful individual directly on a part-time basis or considering an experienced interim/contract professional.
A strong working knowledge of e-conomic is particularly important, as this sits at the heart of the company's bookkeeping, reconciliation and financial reporting processes.
The Finance & Bookkeeping Manager will take day-to-day ownership of KOSMOS' core bookkeeping and accounting activities across its Danish operations as well as supporting those in Ireland.
Working closely with the management team and colleagues across both businesses, you will ensure transactions are correctly recorded and reconciled, financial information is accurate and up to date, overdue invoices are appropriately followed up, and management reporting is produced in line with existing processes.
The business benefits from a largely automated and integrated accounting process within e-conomic, while there are some aspects that require manual input.
You will also play an important role during year-end, supporting external auditors in Denmark and Ireland and ensuring the necessary financial information and documentation is readily available.
The position would suit someone who enjoys being close to the detail, is comfortable taking ownership of their work and can operate independently within a growing international SME environment.
