Job summary

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy A/S in Aalborg seeks a professional Blade Validation engineer to design static and fatigue tests for wind turbine blades. You will prepare test setups with instrumentation and data acquisition, monitor tests, and analyze results to verify design integrity.

The role requires 2–5 years in structural testing or validation, hands-on work with composites, and strong MATLAB/Python skills for data processing and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Structural/Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years in a relevant engineering role (structural analysis, mechanical testing, or validation).
• Hands-on experience with composite materials and structural testing is advantageous.
• Proficiency in MATLAB and Python for data processing and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design static and fatigue tests for wind turbine blades and components for the NB19/MKVII project.
• Prepare and manage test setups with instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
• Run simulations and analyze large datasets from structural tests using MATLAB or Python.
• Document test activities, results, and findings in technical reports for stakeholders.
• Investigate anomalies and collaborate with design engineers to support product improvements.
