Job summary

Carlsberg Group in Copenhagen seeks an experienced Bioassay Specialist to establish and lead a bioassay platform validating the health-promoting properties of beverages. You will build infrastructure, develop assays, and provide hands-on technical leadership across projects.

The role requires a PhD in a life sciences field, 3–6 years postdoctoral or industry experience, and a drive to work hands-on in the lab while guiding colleagues and contributing to publications.

Qualifications

• PhD in physiology, pharmacology, nutritional sciences, cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 3-6 years of relevant postdoctoral or industry research experience.
• Strong practical experience with bioassays relevant to gut and metabolic health.
• Experience with natural products, plant extracts, fermented matrices, or chemically complex samples.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the specialist area.
• Hands-on laboratory work with scientific guidance to project colleagues.
