  • Develop detailed technical reports summarizing findings for internal/external stakeholders.
  • Present RCA findings and recommendations to customers and suppliers.

Join our Bearings team within the Mechanical Drive Train unit, where your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring business continuity. Imagine diving deep into the technical intricacies of bearing failures, conducting thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to uncover failure modes and mechanisms. You will engage in hands-on inspections and collaborate with key stakeholders, delivering detailed reports that drive quality improvements. You will work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues globally to resolve complex technical challenges. Your expertise directly contributes to improving turbine availability and ensuring sustainable energy production for communities worldwide.

How You’ll Make An Impact
  • You will conduct comprehensive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on failed wind turbine bearings identifying critical failure modes and mechanisms.
  • Perform hands-on visual and metallurgic inspections of failed bearings and associated components in a workshop environment.
  • Analyze operational data, maintenance history, and design specifications to support thorough failure investigations.
  • Develop and document detailed technical reports summarizing your investigation findings for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Present and discuss RCA findings and technical recommendations with customers and suppliers.
What You Bring
  • You hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Strong curiosity and a genuine interest in understanding how mechanical systems work, fail, and can be improved.
  • Experience in bearing design, calculations, and field performance is an advantage.
  • Strong ability to structure and document technical analyses and findings
  • You possess strong influencing and consulting skills, enabling effective communication with diverse stakeholders.

You will join our Bearing Team within the Onshore business unit. The team consists of highly skilled specialists located in Denmark, Germany, Spain, and India. We are responsible for main bearings, blade bearings, and related components across the installed Siemens Gamesa turbine fleet. Your colleagues are passionate about conducting thorough investigations and implementing quality improvements that directly impact our operations and customer satisfaction. Together, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality, and Service, to drive initiatives that enhance bearing reliability and contribute to the overall success of our projects.
