Job summary

Jobtailor in Søborg, Denmark, seeks an experienced Principal Software Engineer to lead backend architecture and drive Azure-based solutions. You will shape technical direction, enforce best practices, and ensure secure, compliant delivery across teams.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, manage releases, and oversee CI/CD and automated testing in a regulated enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience, incl. lead role.
• Strong C#/.NET or equivalent Azure backend stack.
• Proficient with REST APIs, JSON, async integrations and distributed systems.
• Experience with Azure services listed in Tools (App Service, Functions, API Management).
• Security: OAuth2/OIDC, MSAL, RBAC for auth.
• CI/CD, Git and DevOps practices.
• Infra-as-Code with Bicep and/or Terraform.
• Logging, monitoring, resilience and secure coding.
• Experience in regulated environments is a plus.
• GxP software delivery understanding is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction and architecture for a product area.
• Develop backend solutions and integrations.
• Define coding standards, solution patterns and technical best practices.
• Perform code reviews and ensure high technical quality.
• Ensure development follows CI/CD principles and automated testing practices.
• Align solution architecture with enterprise standards and strategy.
• Take responsibility for technical aspects of product and release planning.
• Evaluate architectural approaches and set technical direction.
• Work with business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet requirements.
• Coordinate with Architects, IT Security and other stakeholders.
• Delegate technical responsibilities within the team.
• Ensure compliance requirements are met effectively.
• Support a collaborative and healthy team environment.
