Bang & Olufsen in Kongens Lyngby or Struer, Denmark, is seeking an Automation QA Engineer focused on Wireless and RF protocols. You will join the QA Automation team to develop Python-based automated tests, extend Labgrid-based frameworks, and ensure robust connectivity testing across embedded product systems.
You should have a degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience, plus hands-on Python, Bluetooth/WiFi testing, and CI/CD tooling.

As an Automation QA Engineer with Wireless and RF-protocols focus, you will join our QA Automation team in Kongens Lyngby or Struer, contributing to the development of automated testing solutions for our product systems, help ensure the quality and reliability of the experiences we create, and become our go-to person for how connectivity is verified.
Key responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and extend Python-based automated test solutions using Labgrid and hardware-in-the-loop environments to ensure test coverage, reliability, and scalability
Design, execute, and maintain integration and system-level verification tests for Bluetooth, BLE, WiFi, and LAN connectivity features across our embedded software platform
Utilize knowledge of Software QA principles to perform requirements analysis, refine acceptance criteria, identify and help overcome testability constraints for software under development
Build and maintain test infrastructure, including hardware test jigs, instrumentation, networking equipment, and CI/CD integrations using GitHub Actions and distributed test environments
Investigate, reproduce, and root-cause connectivity and communication issues using protocol analysis, packet captures, and RF-level debugging, converting recurring findings into automated regression tests
Collaborate closely with software development, manual QA, and customer validation teams throughout the product lifecycle, from early prototypes to final verification
Provide transparency on test progress, quality metrics, KPIs, and system maturity through documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication
Act as the internal subject matter expert within wireless and Bluetooth connectivity testing while supporting continuous improvements to our testing capabilities and quality processes
What you bring
You are either recently graduated or have a few years of professional experience and are passionate about software quality and automation. You understand how wireless and Bluetooth connectivity works and you are curious enough to keep digging where it doesn't. You thrive in technically complex environments and enjoy transforming ambiguous requirements into structured, traceable, and effective test coverage.
Moreover, you bring:
A relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with software development in Python or similar language focusing on writing clean, scalable, and well-documented code
Strong knowledge of Bluetooth, BLE, Wi-Fi, networking protocols, and connectivity testing for embedded or connected products
Experience designing integration and system-level tests, ideally including hardware-in-the-loop testing and automation frameworks
Familiarity with modern software development practices and tools including Agile, DevOps, Git & GitHub, CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Docker, and infrastructure automation tools like Ansible
Knowledge of software test management & reporting, shift-left and continuous testing practices for systems engineering
Strong collaboration and communication skills, curiosity for new technologies, and fluency in English
