Job summary

GEA seeks an experienced automation project manager to lead complex automation initiatives, typically 12–18 months, from concept to handover. Based at our Skanderborg site, you will join the Liquid Technologies team and collaborate with project execution, automation engineers, process and mechanical engineers, and service to deliver tailored food and dairy solutions.

You will coordinate PLC/software, HMI/SCADA, FAT/SAT, budgeting and scheduling, and ensure quality, safety and seamless handover.

Qualifications

• Degree in automation engineering, control engineering, computer engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience in automation engineering and project delivery within food and dairy industries.
• Knowledge of control technologies, industrial communication and automation documentation.
• Experience in supplier management, project planning, FAT/SAT, commissioning and handover.
• Speak and write English at a full professional level.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation projects from concept through commissioning and handover.
• Plan deliverables, milestones and resources in line with the overall project plan.
• Coordinate PLC and software development, HMI/SCADA, process control, instrumentation integration and documentation.
• Manage external suppliers and subcontractors, from scope definition through monitoring costs and schedules.
• Plan and coordinate FAT and SAT, support commissioning and handover to customer and service.

Education

Degree in automation engineering, control engineering, computer engineering or related technical discipline
