Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL) in Grenoble seeks an Automation Engineer to join the team of Services for Advanced Neutron Environments. You will develop and commission PLC and HMI controllers for high‑temperature furnaces, high‑pressure systems, and cryostat test benches.

You will work across project stages from design to commissioning, collaborate in a multicultural environment, and explore machine‑learning applications for predictive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Degree in automation engineering or equivalent with hands‑on automation experience.
• Strong interest in systems automation and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Good teamwork and analytical mindset; involved in all project stages from design to commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and commission PLC and HMI controllers for complex systems.
• Program and commission power supply panels for high‑temperature furnaces and high‑pressure systems.
